Whether you’re managing a global network with endpoints deployed in dozens of branch offices or a virtualized datacenter with thousands of virtual machines, Ixia’s endpoint agent discovery technology stays apprised of your endpoints so you can quickly test a network when trouble calls.

Ixia Test Factory and Discovery Server can assess the CPU overhead of virtual switches running real-world applications by creating mesh tests between VMs in a VMware ESX or Citrix XenServer host. When conducting live tests of deployed networks, endpoints are constantly changing state or address. With Test Factory, you can build test templates or create tests on the fly to handle topology changes. Test Factory's ability to filter endpoints by their host operating system also allows you to quickly compare the performance of Windows-based vs. Linux-based hosts handling real-world traffic.
